National Eye Care Month is dedicated to safeguarding one of your most useful senses, your eyes. Steps you can take now to help insure your eyesight include:
• Have a complete eye exam with glaucoma test every 1 to 2 years.
• Take extra care if you have diabetes or a family history of eye disease.
• See an eye doctor immediately if you have any loss or dimness of eyesight, eye pain, double vision, extreme redness or swelling of your eye or eyelid.
Resources and outreach events are available throughout the month. Check with your local optometry specialists for details.
